Public IP versus your device’s local IP

A public IP is the address seen by websites receiving your connection. A local IP belongs to your home, office or device network and can be different. This checker reports the address Cloudflare sees for this request; it may be an IPv4 or IPv6 address depending on your connection.

With a VPN or proxy enabled, the displayed address may belong to that intermediary. The estimated country is not an exact location, and the Cloudflare data center code identifies the serving location rather than your home city. This tool does not rate IP reputation or prove that a connection is anonymous.
